Carrick Moore Gerety made his first short film at age 5, and wrote his first song around the same time. He went on to study film and animation at Harvard University, where he wrote, directed and scored numerous animated shorts and documentaries. Carrick has released six albums as a singer-songwriter (as the Push Kings, Everybody Else, Carrick), and has collaborated with artists including Empire of the Sun, Ludwig Goransson, and the Dixie Chicks. He directs music videos for his own music projects as well as for other artists including Weezer, Jack Drag, Aimee Mann, and Dylan Gardner. He has written most of his screenplays in rural hotel rooms and tour vans speeding across the country. He's currently in pre-production on his first feature, and just finished a narrative short film shot entirely on an island in the L.A. River. He lives and works in Northeast Los Angeles.
